Senior Estimator - Build


 Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of tender bids, ensuring all pricing, commercial, technical, and submission requirements are complete and compliant.
  • Prepare and validate detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor costs in accordance with project specifications and tender requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive project cost summaries upon tender submission and project award, including quantities, material specifications, resource requirements, and budget forecasts.
  • Support post-tender negotiations and clarifications with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to secure projects while maximizing commercial returns.
  • Maintain and update estimating databases, including unit rates, material costs, labour rates, and equipment costs, and prepare estimates for Job Change Notices (JCNs) and project variations.
  
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of estimating experience within the construction industry, preferably in the Middle East region.
  • Strong hands-on experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, and tendering for large-scale civil or building projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, cost planning, contracts, procurement processes, and project budgeting.
  • Proficient in estimating software such as Candy ideally and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
