Great opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a Sydney based client on a 6 month day rate contract role starting early Jan 2026!
We’re seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in infrastructure engineering to support large-scale cloud environments. You’ll work within a collaborative engineering team to design, automate, and optimise infrastructure deployments using modern IaC and configuration management tools.
This role is ideal for someone coming from a hands-on infrastructure/operations background, who has strong experience with Terraform and Ansible, and a solid understanding of networking concepts in cloud or hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Develop and manage automation and configuration workflows using Ansible.
- Cloud experience – Azure, GCP or AWS
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues across environments.
- Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to documentation and best practices for infrastructure and DevOps processes.
Skills & Experience Required - - Strong Terraform expertise
- - Hands-on Ansible experience for automation and configuration management.
- - Infrastructure background (e.g. System Engineer, Platform Engineer, Network/Infra Ops).
- - Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPCs/VNETs, firewalls, load balancers, routing).
- - Proven experience with Azure or GCP (multi-cloud experience is a plus).
- - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, etc.).
