An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Costs Negotiator to join a well-regarded legal team in Manchester, specialising in Clinical Negligence matters. This Costs Negotiator role in Manchester offers the chance to take ownership of your own caseload while working on complex, high-value costs files within a collaborative and supportive environment.
You’ll be joining a team that values autonomy, development and high-quality client service, with exposure to varied and challenging work from day one.
The Role: - Review, assess and negotiate costs settlements
- Handle all procedural steps through to final resolution
- Draft Points of Dispute and Replies
- Develop clear strategies for your caseload
- Maintain regular communication with clients and insurers
- Provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice
- Work closely with the wider Costs and Clinical Negligence teams
- Ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery
- This is a strong opportunity to develop specialist expertise in clinical negligence costs work
About You: - Experience in costs negotiation
- Ability to draft Points of Dispute and Replies confidently
- Experience managing your own caseload
- Strong telephone negotiation and communication skills
- Good legal judgement and attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Able to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- IT and case management system proficiency
