Subsea Project QHSE Superintendent

SeaMarque is partnering on an exclusive basis with our client, a leading shipping company expanding its subsea operations, to recruit a Subsea Project QHSE Superintendent for its Dubai office.
 
This role will suit an QHSE specialist with substantial project-side experience in diving, ROV, survey and offshore construction. A key priority is developing protocols and procedures for a new diving system and supporting safe project mobilisation and execution.
 
The role

• Provide QHSE leadership and assurance across subsea projects, working with project teams, vessel management, offshore personnel, clients and contractors.
• Develop and review subsea procedures, risk assessments, method statements and emergency response arrangements, including diving safety, life support and hyperbaric evacuation where applicable.
• Lead risk assessments and SIMOPS reviews; support mobilisation readiness, equipment compliance and personnel competency checks.
• Conduct audits and inspections, investigate incidents, track corrective actions and improve QHSE performance.
• Support compliance with applicable legislation, industry standards and client requirements, including safe interfaces with DP, lifting and marine operations.

Your background

• Proven track record of relevant QHSE experience, including substantial direct involvement in subsea project operations.
• Detailed practical knowledge of diving systems, ROV and survey operations, offshore construction risks and the procedures governing these activities.
• Experience writing subsea procedures and delivering project assurance, audits, incident investigations and operational readiness reviews.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant IMCA, ADCI and IOGP guidance and ISO management systems.
• A degree in engineering, occupational health and safety or a related discipline; NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience with a subsea contractor is highly desirable.
• A seagoing background is not required; candidates must demonstrate specialist subsea project expertise.

• Dubai office-based, with offshore and vessel visits as required.
