The Candidate Specification We are recruiting for a motivated Deckhand to join a strong, hardworking deck team onboard a 100M+ private yacht with an exciting worldwide cruising programme. Joining between mid and late October in Mexico or French Polynesia, the yacht will head through the Panama Canal towards the Caribbean for Christmas and New Year, before returning to the Mediterranean in April.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that would suit someone fit, energetic and genuinely enthusiastic about deck operations. Daily responsibilities will include tender driving, handling slides and fenders, and supporting the wider deck team. The Mediterranean summer programme is particularly busy, with long working days and back-to-back trips, while the Caribbean season offers a slightly steadier pace with plenty of guest interaction.
A key highlight of this position is the opportunity to develop strong tender driving skills. The yacht provides extensive training, progressing from smaller 5M tenders through to larger 16M tenders. A Yachtmaster qualification would be advantageous but is not essential, as the team is committed to supporting crew development onboard.
