Contract Length: Initial 6 Months
Day Rate: £650 - £750 per day (Outside IR35)
We're supporting a well-established manufacturing and engineering business in the appointment of an
Interim Procurement Transformation Manager to lead a significant procurement improvement programme across a multi-million-pound spend portfolio.
This is a hands-on transformation role focused on creating greater visibility and control of spend, delivering commercial savings, strengthening supplier relationships, and implementing robust procurement processes and governance. Working closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Services, you'll drive sustainable improvements that leave a lasting impact on the business.
Key areas of focus will include strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, contract negotiation, procurement governance, supplier performance management, and supporting procurement readiness for a wider ERP transformation programme. You'll also be responsible for establishing clear procurement processes, controls, reporting, and supplier management frameworks that can be successfully transitioned into a permanent structure.

- Proven experience delivering procurement transformation programmes
- Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation capabilities
- Experience delivering measurable cost savings and commercial improvements
- A background within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or similarly complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation
- Experience implementing procurement governance, controls, and supplier performance frameworks
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong commercial judgement
