We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join a growing Procurement Advisory team supporting the delivery of major capital programmes across a range of sectors. We're looking for a procurement professional with experience delivering end-to-end procurement solutions within the built environment, infrastructure, or related sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping procurement strategies, managing complex procurement exercises, and providing expert commercial advice that delivers sustainable, value-driven outcomes for clients.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will lead and support procurement activities across the full project lifecycle, helping clients navigate procurement challenges whilst ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best practice.
 
Key Responsibilities of the Associate Consultant role
  • Leading and coordinate procurement activities throughout the project and procurement lifecycle.
  • Developing procurement strategies that align with client objectives and deliver value for money.
  • Managing tender processes, including preparation of procurement documentation, tender management, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Contributing to business cases, delivery models, and commercial strategies.
  • Providing procurement and commercial advice across construction, infrastructure, and professional services projects.
  • Supporting the definition, negotiation, and award of standard and bespoke contracts.
  • Managing project teams and external consultants where required.
  • Building and maintain strong client relationships, presenting findings and recommendations with confidence.
  • Identifying business development opportunities and contribute to winning new work.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • A degree qualification and full membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS).
  • Experience working in a client-facing consultancy, advisory, or professional services environment.
  • A proven track record of developing procurement strategies and tender evaluation reports.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, procurement best practice, contracting strategies, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations or experience working within another regulated procurement environment.
  • Awareness of the Procurement Act and its implications.
  • Experience working with standard forms of contract such as NEC, JCT, and FIDIC.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.
