Coffee Procurement Manager

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Coffee Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and procurement of coffee and cocoa ingredients within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a strategic and operational role responsible for managing supplier relationships, optimising procurement performance, and delivering sustainable sourcing initiatives while ensuring continuity of supply, quality, and commercial value.

Location: Bedfordshire (Hybrid working – minimum 3 days on-site)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Reports to: Head of Marketing

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of coffee and cocoa ingredients across a significant annual spend portfolio. 
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and oversee procurement processes from purchase order through to payment. 
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying new sourcing opportunities. 
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to align procurement strategy with business objectives. 
  • Analyse market trends, inventory levels, consumption patterns, and demand forecasts to optimise stock holdings and reduce costs. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements, procurement tools, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance. 
  • Develop and drive sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory requirements. 
  • Support environmental and sustainability reporting across key frameworks and accreditation standards. 
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Procurement Manager role, ideally within coffee, cocoa, tea, food manufacturing, or a related commodity-based sector. 
  • Strong procurement, sourcing, negotiation, and cost optimisation expertise. 
  • Experience analysing market data and presenting commercial insights to stakeholders. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. 
  • Experience leading sustainability initiatives and working with ESG, ISO14001, EcoVadis, or similar frameworks. 
  • Degree-level education and experience within the coffee or wider beverage industry would be advantageous.
