Overview

Our client, Commerce Decisions, is a leading SaaS and consultancy business supporting major procurement programmes across the UK and internationally. Its flagship platform, AWARD®, has been used on some of the most complex and high-profile procurement projects spanning infrastructure, transport, defence, healthcare, education and media.

Due to continued growth, Commerce Decisions is seeking a Senior Procurement Consultant to join its Professional Services team. This is a client-facing consultancy role combining procurement expertise, software-enabled delivery and business development. Working closely with the VP of Professional Services, you will support procurement projects, develop client relationships and help drive future growth.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver consultancy services across procurement strategy, evaluation design, criteria development, weighting methodologies and value-for-money assessments.
  • Manage client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective risk management and strong commercial outcomes.
  • Support the successful implementation and use of the AWARD® platform.
  • Work alongside sales and professional services teams to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, peer review and continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients across public and private sector organisations.
  • Represent the business through webinars, industry events, thought leadership and market engagement activities.
  • Support innovation initiatives, including the use of AI to enhance service delivery and client outcomes. 
Requirements
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) Clearance.
  • Experience delivering consultancy services within software-led or technology-enabled environments.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience managing and delivering projects to agreed timelines and objectives.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to perform effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable
  • Experience in public sector procurement, competition design or bid evaluation.
  • Knowledge of UK Government and Defence procurement processes.
  • Interest in procurement technology and software solutions.
  • Experience managing complex or interdependent project requirements.
