Procurement Manager - IT & Telecoms

Our client is a large, global organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation of their Procurement function. As part of this evolution, they are looking to appoint an IT Procurement Manager into a newly created role, reflecting growth of the team, and increasing demand across technology spend.  This is a genuinely impactful opportunity for an experienced IT procurement professional who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and operating in complex, fast‑moving global environments.
  
The Role
This position sits within the wider Indirect Procurement function and works closely with Senior Procurement Leadership and key business stakeholders across the organisation.  The role combines Renewals Management, Strategic Sourcing, Sub‑category Strategy and Supplier Management.  Core technology focus areas include Digital Workplace, Cloud‑based Solutions, SaaS, and enterprise software
  
You will be responsible for leading end‑to‑end RFPs independently, managing high‑value and often complex commercial negotiations, and supporting the organisation through an ongoing procurement transformation.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
  • Leading global sourcing projects and running end‑to‑end RFPs across IT spend
  • Managing renewals and negotiating complex licensing and commercial agreements
  • Developing and delivering sub‑category strategies within the IT portfolio
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to shape sourcing, investment, and supplier decisions
  • Managing supplier relationships and driving value beyond cost
  • Operating across multiple geographies globally
  • Prioritising a challenging workload and making commercial decisions
  • Working effectively in “grey areas” within a function that is still evolving its processes and technology
  
  
About You
This role does not require industry‑specific experience, but it does require experience operating at scale.  You will need to demonstrate
  
  • Solid IT procurement experience within a large, global corporate environment
  • Proven ownership of end‑to‑end sourcing and RFP activity
  • Exposure to technology categories such as SaaS, cloud, cyber or digital workplace
  • Strong commercial judgement and negotiation capability
  • Confidence working autonomously, prioritising workload, and making decisions without close supervision
  • CIPS (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  
Salary & Benefits
  
  • Up to £75,000
  • 10% Bonus, with the opportunity to earn up to 150%
  • Flex Fund: 2% of salary paid monthly (cash or benefits choice), increasing to 3% from 2027
