Senior Buyer

I’m thrilled to come to market with an exceptional progression opportunity for an experienced Buyer looking to step up into a Senior Buyer position with the UK’s leading Facilities Management organisation; an organisation dedicated to continuous improvement and career progression. 

Working within the Hard Services Category you will be supporting the Procurement Business Partner in executing strategy and playing a crucial role in gathering data, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and driving compliance.  This is a large and very busy, category incorporating Building Works, Construction & Civils and delivers a multi £100’s millions spend so there will be many opportunities to demonstrate your capability and become involved in high profile projects.
  
Responsibilities
  • Gather data on spend, volume, and service needs for eRFx/eAuctions
  • Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders and Procurement Business Partners
  • Understand business needs and promote category strategy
  • Manage the project pipeline and report/forecast within appropriate trackers
  • Monitor the contract renewal pipeline and support the creation, extension, or cessation of Master Framework Agreements
  • Evaluate, select, negotiate, and contract with suppliers
  • Maintain KPIs and metrics to measure performance of annual savings and supplier performance
  • Achieve best value for money on category spend, meeting annualised and in-year benefits, savings targets, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work as part of a team and occasionally lead on relevant subject matter
  
Key Skills and Experience
  • Relevant experience in category supply and commercial procurement
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment with diverse stakeholders and customers
  • Demonstrable negotiating skills
  • MCIPS qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in the Facilities Management or Construction industry (desirable)
