Procurement Heads is delighted to be partnered with a leading energy & utilities organisation, to recruit an IT Category Manager.

This organisation has a large global footprint, with over 100,000 employees across several continents and operates across multiple sectors.

You will be able to be based UK wide but there will be a requirement to go into their London-based office, working within their collaborative procurement team and reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement.

They are looking for a proactive individual who is confident in bringing new ideas to the team. You will be working on a wide range of diverse fast-paced projects.
As IT Category Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

• Direct reports 4 team members
• Leading the development of procurement strategies in close cooperation with business operations and procurement stakeholders
• Supporting operational entities in the implementation and monitoring of supplier policy
• Maintaining and publishing regular and accurate reports demonstrating the effectiveness of strategic sourcing arrangements and contribution to the group profit improvement / efficiency plan
• Supporting subcontractor procurement by benchmarking and interrogating costs to ensure additional contribution opportunities are realised
• Working to and supporting supply chain deals, working with procurement department to ensure the BU achieves the best in terms of supplier arrangements
• Managing the IT procurement team and associated performance including quality of the internal service delivery

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven track record in managing direct reports
• Being capable of contributing to technical discussions specific to the category and supporting the development of valued engineering or alternative product selection
• Experience of stakeholder management and influencing
• Experience in developing work-winning solutions with operational and business development stakeholders to drive better technical solutions and outcomes

  
Salary and Benefits of the IT Category Manager role:

• Salary - Dependant on Experience
• £5,200 car allowance/company car
• Up to 5% matched pension
• Up to 5% bonus
