Commercial Manager

We're looking for a Commercial Manager from a construction / FM QS background to support all aspects of commercial management and advice on a 2-site, health PFI where we are the independent advisor between the Shareholders, Trust Board and FM contractor.
 
This is a high-impact role at the heart of commercial decision-making—ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments and understands the nuances of Project Agreements, FM, and risk management.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support the Regional CD and become the key commercial contact for the SPV
  • Dealing with the full range of commercial elements including pre-construction, disputes, defects, and settlements
  • Managing variations end-to-end (including financial model inputs)
  • Advising on additional works & reactive maintenance procurement
  • Supporting dispute resolution and contractual positions
  • Driving service provider replacement processes
  • Ensuring contractual compliance and risk mitigation
  • Partnering with Project Boards & SPV leadership teams
  • Embedding best practice across contracts and stakeholders
What we're looking for:
  • Strong background in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
  • Proven experience in PFI / PPP projects
  • Solid understanding of Project Agreements & payment mechanisms
  • Experience across FM, lifecycle, and subcontract management
  • Commercially astute with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confident operating at senior level with investors, clients and contractors
