Management Accountant

A well-established and continually developing organisation is partnering with the NET Recruit Team to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to support its financial operations and ongoing business growth. Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position, your duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare, post, and review monthly journals, producing a complete and accurate set of management accounts.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver timely and robust financial reporting.
  • Support the measurement of financial performance through detailed analysis of financial records and reports.
  • Identify variances, issues, and areas for improvement, providing clear recommendations to senior finance leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Assistant to ensure efficient day-to-day finance operations across all sites.
  • Prepare cashflow statements, forecasts, and assist with annual budgeting cycles.
  • Support external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required.
  • Assist with accounting system migrations, process mapping, and improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and monitor financial information systems, proposing improvements where necessary.
  • Build strong working relationships through effective communication across multiple teams and locations.
  • Work autonomously on designated projects while contributing to wider team objectives.
  • Communicate financial insights and reporting clearly to non-financial managers.
  • Support cross-functional teams and contribute to internal audits, compliance activities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out any additional reasonable tasks aligned with business needs.
What You Will Need to Apply:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management accounting role.
  • ACCA, CIMA, or part-qualified accountant (AAT qualification considered).
  • Strong understanding of journal posting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability and experience working with accounting systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with Sage accounting software.
  • Background in a factory, production, or FMCG environment.
