Your Company: A regional services organisation is seeking an
Area Housing Manager to join their Housing Services function on a full-time, permanent basis. This role operates on an agile working model across Dorset and will support a varied property portfolio across multiple locations.
Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: - Leading a team responsible for tenancy, income, allocations, voids, and estate management across general needs, supported housing, and intensive accommodation
- Coaching, mentoring, and performance managing staff to ensure high-quality, customer-focused service delivery
- Working closely with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to provide person-centred housing solutions
- Driving continuous improvement, service innovation, and operational effectiveness across multiple sites
- Ensuring services comply with regulatory requirements, safeguarding expectations, and value-for-money objectives
- Championing strong governance, risk management, and compliance standards
- Managing stakeholder relationships, including contractors, local authorities, and community partners
- Supporting strategic housing initiatives aligned with organisational goals and social impact priorities
- Ensuring safeguarding practices are embedded across all operations, following robust recruitment and compliance procedures

- Strong experience in housing or property management across tenancy, income, estates, and allocations
- Proven leadership capability with experience in coaching and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering efficient, customer-focused services
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with resilience and strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding standards and compliance requirements, with a commitment to robust recruitment practices
