The talent acquisition team at NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a market-leading business to find an Interim Assistant Finance Business Partner, to join the team for a
13-month fixed term contract. The position will be located in Poole. The business operates in the logistics and maritime sector and offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to their global client base including a range of HVAC, electro-mechanical and electric systems offerings that are designed to cater for a vast range of needs.
Reporting into senior finance professionals, the job holder will be supporting various areas of the business including project management, commercial decision making and reporting.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to: - Managing the review of business bids to ensure that business expectations for terms and net cashflow are met and to identify revenue recognition and escalating any risks to senior finance
- Handling daily invoicing and revenue forecasting duties including weekly submissions onto company system, invoicing milestones to financial year end and investigating instances of variance in these milestones, reporting invoicing actuals and sales invoicing forecast
- Supporting the preparation of month-end revenue recognition and margins
- Assisting project managers with investigating estimated actual contract costs as well as engaging in monthly reviews and project updates
- Providing support on both product and department profitability reporting
- Managing the preparation of monthly management reporting packs for senior management
- Supporting on monthly forecasting and the annual revenue budget process
- Helping the finance team during the full and preliminary full year end audit process
What you will need to Apply: This business is really keen to hear from applicant who have or are studying towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA and who have good finance experience within a comparable role. Applicants should also have intermediate, or preferably advanced Excel skills and be competent with SAGE accounting and manufacturing and resource planning software. Excellent attention to detail and a demonstratable high level of accuracy is expected of all applicants as well as exquisite communication abilities and a problem solving mindset.
This is a fixed term contract, and therefore any applicants must be immediately available and be happy to take an interim position.
What you will get in Return: On offer is a base of up to £40,000, depending on previous experience and knowledge, and a good remuneration package alongside this. This role is a hybrid working position, with a few days expected in the office per week.
