Senior Group Internal Auditor (Lead)

International remit | Group-level influence | Senior stakeholder exposure

An established international organisation is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to help shape its audit approach and strengthen assurance across multiple markets.

This is a high-impact role with influence beyond individual audit assignments. Working closely with senior stakeholders and audit teams, you will help determine priorities, challenge the quality of audit conclusions and drive improvements in governance, risk management and internal controls.
Your Contribution

Partner with senior management and audit colleagues to turn complex findings into practical, actionable improvements.
Strengthen audit quality by reviewing reports, supporting evidence and recommendations across international teams.
Identify emerging risks and help focus audit coverage on the processes that matter most to the business.
Guide the planning, delivery and follow-up of audit engagements, including targeted reviews and investigations.
Oversee assessments of control effectiveness, including SOX-related testing.
Improve audit methodologies, tools and working practices, while supporting knowledge sharing and professional development across teams.

Your Background

5+ years of audit experience, including oversight of assignments across multiple entities or countries.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and audit methodology, with experience in SOX or equivalent requirements.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and support the development of audit teams.
A relevant professional qualification, such as CIA, ACCA, CRMA or CFE.
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
Fluent English, with willingness to develop German for business communication where needed.
