JOB SUMMARY EQ8 Crew is currently recruiting experienced seafarers across a range of offshore support vessel roles. These contract positions offer stable rotations and an opportunity to join a first-class marine operation delivering reliable offshore services in
Mozambique and
Guyana.
EQ8 Crew has been appointed as the manning agency for this fleet in Africa. We welcome applications from qualified South African and African crew who meet the role requirements and are ready to deploy internationally.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is an established global ship manager overseeing a fleet of offshore support vessels on behalf of a leading international vessel owner. The managed fleet includes AHTS and terminal tugs. Known for their safety, reliability, and high standards, they offer structured rotations, competitive USD day rates, and a long-standing reputation for fair crew management.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for the vacancies, the successful candidates will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:
- Valid STCW certification and medical fitness
- At least 12 months of experience on offshore support vessels (AHTS, terminal tugs, or similar)
- Fluent English communication and a strong safety-first approach
- Valid seafarer documentation (passport, medical, CoC, etc.)
- Available to mobilise between June and September 2025
- Willingness to commit to a rotation of 8 to 12 weeks on/off
- A standard international CV format that clearly includes IMO numbers for all previously served vessels
JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
DECK DEPARTMENT - Chief Officer (x4) – USD 180–230 per day | 8–9 weeks on/off
- 2nd Master (x1) – USD 300 per day | 9 weeks on/off
- Bosun (x1) – USD 38 per day | 12 weeks on/off
- Able Seafarer Deck (x3) – USD 33 per day | 12 weeks on/off
ENGINE DEPARTMENT - Chief Engineer (x1) – USD 280–300 per day | 8 weeks on/off
- 2nd Engineer (x1) – USD 190–200 per day | 9 weeks on/off
- Fitter with ER Watchkeeping Certificate (x1) – USD 35 per day | 12 weeks on/off
- Oiler (x2) – USD 35 per day | 8 weeks on/off
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT All applicants must have at least
12 months of experience on offshore support vessels (AHTS, terminal tugs, or similar), ideally involving
towing, rig move, or anchor handling operations.
This experience will be carefully reviewed and verified against discharge books and vessel history, as this is often misclassified or misunderstood on CVs.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE A market-related daily
USD rate is on offer, aligned to the level of responsibility per rank. All roles are offered with structured rotations ranging from
8 to 12 weeks on/off, depending on position.
