About the Role: We are urgently looking for a Senior Power System Study Engineer to be based in our Jakarta office. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical power system studies, brownfield modifications, and temporary power configurations. You will act as a key technical authority to liaise directly with client engineers, defend engineering justifications, and prevent scope creep/overengineering.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit Load Flow, Short Circuit, Earthing/Grounding, and Relay/Protection Coordination Studies as key project deliverables.
• Develop engineering justification packages for temporary power systems and tie-ins to permanent facilities.
• Handle Load Assessments, Relay and MCCB Setting Validation, and Backfeed/Isolation Philosophy Reviews.
• Discuss technical matters directly with client engineers and defend engineering conclusions based on sound technical analysis.
• Support approvals for temporary power connections and temporary-to-permanent facility tie-ins.
• Maintain strong contract awareness to distinguish contractual requirements from client preferences, effectively pushing back on excessive or non-contractual client requests to prevent overengineering.
• Prepare concise and technically robust submissions for smooth client review and approval.

Key Requirements:

• More than 10 years of solid experience in power system engineering and studies.
• Proven experience in brownfield projects and live-plant modifications.
• Strong proficiency in electrical power study tools, with ETAP experience (at least 1 completed project) being highly desirable.
• Excellent technical communication and negotiation skills to handle client alignment (experience working with major operators is a strong plus).
• Immediate availability for an initial 3-6 month office assignment in Jakarta.
