Development Geologist

Key Responsibilities:
Geological Data Interpretation & Reservoir Mapping
  • Contribute to geological and reservoir models.
  • Generate reservoir maps showing gross and net sand thickness, net-to-gross ratio, porosity, and water saturation (SW).
  • Collect and interpret geological data from development wells.
  • Perform geological correlations between exploration and development wells.
Prospect Generation & Evaluation
  • Identify hydrocarbon plays, leads, and prospects within designated field areas.
  • Interpret geological and geophysical data to support appraisal strategies, field development plans, bypassed pay identification, infill drilling, and enhanced hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Calculate hydrocarbons in place using volumetric methods and contribute to reserve reporting and certification.
  • Evaluate prospects and development well targets and support the preparation of exploration and development drilling portfolios.
  • Assess geological risks, rank prospects, and recommend drilling priorities.
  • Present drilling proposals to management and partners.
  • Identify additional data requirements to improve prospect evaluation and maturity.
Well Intervention, Workover & Drilling Operations
  • Provide geological support to Petroleum and Reservoir Engineers (PE/RE) for well intervention and workover recommendations.
  • Collaborate with geophysicists on well planning deliverables, including BfWD, DSP, and well proposals.
