We’re excited to grow Brisbane’s finance and tech talent through our internship program, giving students hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. As a mergers and acquisition (M&A) Intern at Swyftx, you’ll gain real-world exposure to industry and market research, deal execution, financial analysis, and integration planning. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to key projects, and develop skills that will set you up for success in your career.
At Swyftx, we support your growth, encourage you to tackle challenges, and help you make a real impact. We’re looking for interns available for 3 days per week over a 6-month period in our vibrant Milton office.
Some of the key things you'll work on: - Industry & Market Research: Conduct deep-dive research into key international markets, analyse total addressable market size, regulatory landscapes, and competitors.
- Due Diligence Support: Assist in managing the M&A data room, tracking outstanding due diligence items, and organising documentation for ongoing and potential deals.
- Deal Execution Assistance: Support the updating of closing checklists and ensure all documentation is accurately maintained.
- Integration Planning: Help track Day 1 readiness milestones for M&A integrations, assist in preparing executive summaries, and monitor key operational transitions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Take notes and track action items from M&A-related meetings, maintain deal trackers, and assist in coordinating internal and external meetings.
Who you are: - You’re currently in your final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with an interest in M&A, strategy, and market research.
- No prior experience required—just a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.
- You’re an analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving and being resourceful.
- You have strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- You enjoy working in teams but are also comfortable handling tasks independently.
- You’re able to communicate clearly, both in writing and when speaking.
