About the Role:
Our client is an award winning Technology Focused business thats scaling out its Azure and DevOps practice. They are looking for a hands on Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to build and run the CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure behind its applications on Microsoft Azure. You'll work with development, platform and security teams to automate deployments, manage infrastructure as code, and make releases faster and more reliable.


This is an engineering role. Most of your time will go into building pipelines and writing code rather than administering tools.

About the day to day:

• Design, build and maintain multi stage YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions where used
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure as code with Terraform and/or Bicep
• Set up and govern the Azure DevOps organisation: repos, branch policies, service connections, agent pools, artifact feeds and permissions
• Deploy and support containerised workloads on AKS
• Build security into the pipeline, including Key Vault secrets management, code, dependency and image scanning, and policy-as-code
• Set up monitoring and alerting so failed deployments are caught before users notice
• Support production releases, including occasional out-of-hours deployment windows
• Document pipelines and runbooks, and coach developers on DevOps practices

About you:

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering, including 3+ years hands-on with Azure
• Proven experience building YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps, beyond classic release pipelines
• Production infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform preferred; Bicep/ARM valued)
• Experience running containerised workloads on AKS or another Kubernetes platform
• An enterprise background with formal change and release management
