Our client is a family-owned and operated broadacre dryland cropping enterprise near Walgett, NSW. A fantastic opportunity now exists for a Farm Diesel Mechanic to join this progressive and supportive team. This role suits someone passionate about machinery and farming who wants a long-term role with work-life balance and great conditions.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a range of machinery, including tractors, trucks, headers, light vehicles, and farm implements (John Deere and Caterpillar).
• Provide ongoing workshop support for day-to-day farm operations
• Operate farm machinery and assist with general farming tasks during peak and off-peak seasons.
• Carry out welding and fabrication tasks where required.

Selection Criteria:

• Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic or significant mechanical experience.
• Experience with agricultural machinery and willingness to assist with general farm duties.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
• Welding and fabrication skills highly regarded.
• Willingness to live and work in a rural environment.
