Based between Narrabri and Walgett, this family-owned and operated dryland cropping business runs a full-scale broadacre operation producing both summer and winter crops. They’re now looking for a capable and motivated Spray Rig Operator to join their close-knit team and contribute to efficient and safe farming practices.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Operate a John Deere tractor with a tow-behind 48-metre Hayes boom.
• Apply chemicals accurately in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Support the operation of other farm machinery when required.
• Conduct routine & preventative maintenance on spray rigs and implements.
• Assist with general farm duties as needed.
• Maintain accurate records.

Selection Criteria:

• Previous experience operating spray rigs.
• Chemical Handling Accreditation.
• Strong understanding of drying cropping systems.
• A mechanical skill set & prior workshop experience.
• Ability to work safely, efficiently and independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
