Positioned within the rich, agricultural central region of Moree, New South Wales, lies my client’s beef cattle feedlot where a position for a Feed Out Operator has recently become available. The feedlot consists of a Black Angus, Angus Cross, and a Wagyu Composite herd and together with extensive expertise in both Australian and international markets, this privately owned feedlot boasts unprecedented, localised expertise in all facets of beef production tailored to supply the very best with all that is the Australian beef product. Growing their own commodities on over more than a 10,000-acre end to end farming operation, this agricultural company offers long term, diversified opportunities for their staff with the view toward long and happy relationships with their employees to achieve overall optimal production outcomes.
 
The successful candidate will be introduced to the position by receiving a full complement of training. No previous experience within a similar role is required to carry out this position.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • To operate a John Deere tractor, mixer wagon and loader to distribute stock feed to cattle.
  • To use software to efficiently mix feed rations.
  • To carry out basic machinery maintenance.
  • To carry out other general duties in and around the feedlot as required.
Favourable attributes:
  • To have a general willingness to learn on the job & show an attention to detail in order to provide animals with correct feed rations.
  • To have a sense of responsibility to maintain good work relationships, work as a team and ensure a safe working environment is upheld at all times.
  • Previous experience operating machinery such as a loader and tractor will be highly regarded but not essential.
