An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced livestock truck driver to begin work with our client, a cattle production and transport company located between Springsure and Emerald in the prime agricultural region of the Central Highlands. Positioned just 40 kilometers northeast of Springsure and 65 kilometers south of Emerald, the cattle property is ideally situated in an area known for its pastoral history, breathtaking scenery, and abundant agricultural production.
 
Our client, a family-owned and operated business, offers a long-term, full-time position for an individual to join their team. They seek a trustworthy employee who will maintain the company's reputable standing and represent it well. The successful candidate will report directly to the company's owners and will enjoy a variety of tasks, including cattle truck driving and livestock management on the property when not engaged in driving. This diverse opportunity is ideal for someone seeking variety in their workweek.
 
The fleet comprises two Western Star 4900 trucks, mainly transporting livestock between Springsure, Biloela, and Rockhampton. Occasionally, trips to Brisbane arise, and interstate runs are infrequent. The company has a drop deck for hauling hay or machinery and a tanker set-up for transporting liquid feed supplements. All machinery is well-maintained and in excellent condition.
The successful candidate will naturally possess a current, unrestricted MC licence and have a good driving history. A sound mechanical skill set is essential, and our client doesn't allow smoking inside the truck cab. Good communication is essential.
