Nestled in the vibrant Golden Triangle district between North Star and Croppa Creek in northern New South Wales, is our client's dryland and irrigated cropping property. The expansive operation produces wheat, barley, chickpeas, and canola during the winter months, while in summer, the focus is on sorghum and corn.
 
The operation boasts a fleet of modern machinery, predominantly featuring John Deere equipment, including: S780 headers, 616 & 4045 spray rigs, tractors ranging from 8R row crop to 9RX, 18m Boss and Janke planters. Additionally, the company operates a fully functional, contemporary workshop equipped with well-maintained tools and equipment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• To operate modern agricultural farming equipment.
• To provide assistance with the service, maintenance and repair of farming equipment.
• To assist with irrigation duties.
• General cropping and property duties as required.

Selection Criteria:

• The ability to capably and willingly operate modernised, GPS driven machinery to contribute toward a successful dryland and irrigated cropping operation.
• To effectively work within a small, yet dynamic team environment always demonstrating excellent communication skills and personable disposition between colleagues and management.
• Always adhering to workplace health and safety and maintaining a safe working environment.
• A current open, manual driver’s licence is essential. A truck licence is not necessary however should the successful candidate demonstrate a willingness to commit to the position, training toward a HR, HC or MC level licence may be available.
• To be motivated, eager and willing to learn on the job and to have well rounded time management skills.

Additional Particulars:

• Remuneration packages will reflect the candidate’s level of prior experience and skill brought to the position and will be negotiable upon application.
• Each employee has their own maintained Landcruiser Ute for farm use only.
• Accommodation Options include single accommodation available for both males and females with a 3-bedroom, 2-bath house can also be offered.
• Both options include carports, and inclusive rent covers a small power contribution.
• All employees are under self-catering arrangements.
