The Western Australian wheat belt region is in busy preparation for the upcoming sowing season. Our client’s property is an 8,000-acre holding situated 20 kilometres from New Norcia and 1.5 hours drive north of Perth.
An opportunity is available for an Air Seeder Operator to commence work in preparation for wheat sowing. With sowing expected to kick off mid to late April 2025, the operator can commence earlier to assist with machinery preparations. With 6,000 acres under cultivation, it is expected that sowing will continue until mid-June. Based on performance, there may be the possibility of ongoing seasonal work (i.e.: wheat harvest).
 
A 4WD John Deere tractor with 40ft DBS & Borgo Box is utilised for planting and the tractor is equipped with Greenstar GPS guidance.
 
Selection Criteria:

• Must have previous experience operating an AIR SEEDER.
• Must have a current driver’s license (own transportation viewed very favourably).
• Must commit to the seeding season – mid April 2025 – mid June 2025 at a minimum.

Particulars:

• Our client will offer an attractive hourly rate ranging between $35 - $40 / hour to be determined according to prior experience.
• Single, self-contained accommodation is available which includes a double bed and all bathroom and kitchen facilities.
• BYO food supplies.
• A work ute is supplied for on farm use only.
