An excellent opportunity for a Farm Hand now exists within a permanent, full-time role on an irrigated cotton and dryland farming property located 30 minutes on the north side of the McIntyre River. The thriving local border township of Goondiwindi is situated in prime Australian farming country and within a wonderful rural community servicing the wider southern agricultural sector.
 
The Role:
 
Reporting to the owner, the position of Farm Hand will incorporate diversification of duties across the production of both dryland and irrigated crops. The position will incorporate machinery operating, irrigation rotations with other staff, mechanical repairs, property maintenance other general farm production duties will be required. The machinery consists of a modern John Deere fleet of tractors and headers and a Goldacres G6 self-propelled spray rig + all modern implements.
 
Favourable Attributes:

• To have some prior agricultural experience and ideally working within a dryland and irrigated farming environment and to have machinery operating experience – specifically modern farming machinery & implements with GPS technology including tractors and spray rigs.
• To be capable of working as a team with other employees.
• To offer a reasonable mechanical skill set.
