Project Manager | Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment | Sydney CBD

Our client is a nationally recognised builder with over 35 years in the market, employing more than 650 people across Australia. Their Fit-Out & Refurbishment division is one of the most respected in NSW, delivering high-end commercial workplaces, base build refurbishments, and complex live-environment projects across Sydney.

Due to a strongsecure pipeline of work across the education, aviation, social infrastructure, and premium workplace sectors, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of projects from inception through to handover.

The Role
Reporting to the Project Directors, Operations and Commercial Managers, you'll take full ownership of project delivery, supported by an experienced project team including Contracts Administrators, Project Engineers and Site Managers.
Key responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end delivery of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
  • Head contract and subcontract administration.
  • Programme management, procurement and subcontractor coordination
  • Driving cost control, forecasting and commercial outcomes (GP, claims, variations, EOTs)
  • Managing client relationships, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Leading the site team and ensuring quality, programme and safety targets are met
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
What they're looking for
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a recognised fit-out builder
  • Strong track record delivering commercial fit-out projects from $5m+
  • Solid commercial acumen — claims, variations, head contract management
  • Confident in managing client and consultant relationships at a senior level
  • Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
  • Someone who values culture, collaboration and long-term career growth
Salary
  • Circa $200k - $220k + Super (flexible for the right person)
