The Role As a Leading Hand, you'll support the Foreman in running day-to-day site operations, supervising trades, maintaining quality, and keeping work moving safely and efficiently. You'll be hands-on while also developing the leadership capability needed to take the next step.
Typical Responsibilities: - Supervise trades and labour, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on programme
- Coordinate materials, deliveries and daily site activity
- Carry out quality checks and support the Foreman with paperwork and site compliance
- Read and interpret plans, ensuring work is delivered to specification
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and sequencing
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across hardscape and softscape elements
- Act as a role model for safety, teamwork and site culture
Experience in commercial landscaping—particularly commercial, civil/urban works or high-end residential class two.—will be highly regarded.
About You - Currently a Leading Hand or a strong Tradesman, ready for the next step
- Solid experience in landscape construction
- Confident supervising small teams and coordinating day-to-day site activities
- Strong communication, good attitude and a desire to grow in a larger organisation
- Tickets such as excavator, skid steer, first aid or Cert III in Landscape Construction are an advantage
Salary & Progression - Starting: $45 per hour + super
- Progression: Foreman pathway → $120k-$150k + Super + Bonus
