We are now searching for a Financial & Management Accountant to join the team - to play a critical role in supporting Grains Australia’s financial governance, reporting, compliance and operational effectiveness.

This is a significant opportunity to drive the financial and management accounting function for a complex industry-good national organisation. In addition to supporting individual business managers with ongoing financial analysis, the Financial and Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Month-end reporting
• Profit and loss and balance sheet accounting
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Managing the completion of FBT, BAS quarterly returns and IAS
• Coordinating the approval of AP invoices and correct coding
• Compliance and audit
• Ad hoc reporting
• Attending key annual events

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates will ideally possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualifications (considered mandatory)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Data management, Xero and Microsoft Excel modelling - familiarity
• Report compilation and commentary writing skills
• The ability to work with senior stakeholders and as part of a team
• An affinity or connection with agriculture or regional Australia
• Willingness to travel as required
