ICT Development Team Lead

The Opportunity

Revo Fitness is growing, and so is our tech. We're in the middle of some genuinely exciting projects, including a brand-new member app and website, and we need an experienced React Native & PHP Developer ready to step up into a Development Team Lead role.

This is a hybrid role for someone who loves the craft of writing great code just as much as they love helping other engineers grow theirs. You'll split your time between hands-on mobile development and leading, mentoring, and building out a team of developers who deliver at a high standard.

What You'll Be Doing

UI/UX Design
  • Champion strong UI/UX practices, making sure designs translate into polished, accessible, high-performing mobile interfaces
  • Partner closely with Marketing and designers to review mock-ups and prototypes, flag technical constraints early, and suggest improvements based on iOS/Android platform conventions
App Development
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of Revo's React Native applications across iOS and Android
  • Work with the team to turn business requirements into real, working functionality
Website Development & Integration
  • Plan and design new and existing online environments that help Revo modernise and improve how we operate
  • Build and maintain Revo's website environments and automated business processes
  • Manage security across critical integration points between Revo's information systems (API keys and secrets)
Cyber Security
  • Stay current on cyber-security technologies and standards relevant to a development environment
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in software development, including 3+ years in React Native and prior leadership experience of a development team.
  • Proven track record shipping and maintaining production React Native apps on iOS and Android
  • Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, React fundamentals (hooks, context, component design), PHP, and SQL
  • Solid grasp of mobile-specific concerns: performance, native modules, offline support, push notifications
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g. Storybook) for UI consistency
  • Familiarity with WordPress environments and cloud technologies for scalable, secure platforms
  • Awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements in software development
  • Excellent coding fundamentals, sharp analytical skills, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, coach, and engage others
