The Opportunity We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Financial Accountant to join the finance team supporting across multiple different entities. In this role, you’ll ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information that underpins effective decision‑making and supports the financial sustainability of the business.

Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis - Prepare and analyse financial data to support informed decision‑making across the business.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Identify and investigate financial trends and variances, escalating issues where required.
Month-End Close & Compliance - Perform month‑end close activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal controls.
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentation.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts across multiple different entities.
- Support cost centre owners with tracking, variance explanations, and financial queries.
- Maintain budget models and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver clear, timely, and accurate financial information.
Systems & Data Integrity - Use financial systems effectively to ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Assist with system improvements and process enhancements.
- Maintain strong data integrity through established controls.
Improvement Initiatives - Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting quality, and efficiency.
- Contribute to finance projects aimed at strengthening systems and controls.
- Support documentation of processes for consistency and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience - CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent) with experience in a financial accounting (mid-senior) role.
- Strong month‑end experience, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and use of accounting systems.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and supporting audits or compliance activities.
- Ability to identify issues in financial data and resolve or escalate appropriately.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to investigate variances.
- Effective organisational and time‑management skills, able to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the business.
- Proficient in accounting software and Excel, with a proactive mindset and willingness to improve processes and take ownership.
