The Opportunity

Join our team as the National Facilities & Maintenance Manager, where you will lead a national team of Facilities & Warehouse Managers, and Technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all facilities, both existing and planned, through a strategic and proactive approach. You will work closely with internal and external partners to develop an effective maintenance framework, ensuring our clubs are well-serviced and maintained.
  
Key Responsibilities:

Facility Management & Maintenance

• Lead a national team of Facilities & Warehouse Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely completion of work and successful negotiation of contract terms and service level agreements, including evaluation of contractor performance. 
• Support the training and development of technicians including ensuring adequate staffing ratios for efficient completion of work.
• Work with operations teams across Australia to ensure service and maintenance are prioritised, scheduled, and actioned in line with club requirements.
• Collaborate with key suppliers to optimise inventory and supply chain management.
• Develop and implement policies, processes, and standards to ensure a consistent approach to maintenance operations across all sites, driving compliance and operational excellence.
• Manage budgets, including the approval of maintenance expenses and capital expenditure projects.
• Generate quarterly and yearly reports against KPIs and strategic programs of work.
• Manage relevant information systems used internally (Cin7, FitnessEMS).
• Manage the schedule for external contractors and internal Maintenance & Service Technicians, specifying the scope of work, briefing on requirements, and monitoring performance to ensure timely and quality completion of maintenance tasks.

Warehouse Management

• Ensure a safe working environment for staff and contractors, including compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, appropriate for each state.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for optimal use of warehouse space nationally.
• Oversee coordination of club maintenance and servicing of equipment for all clubs and warehouses across Australia.

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience in similar role with a national scope, such as gym operations, facilities management, or related fields, is highly valued. Experience in the fitness industry will be particularly advantageous.
• Proven ability to build capacity, lead teams, and implement a culture of continuous improvement and service innovation.
• Demonstrated skills in implementing best practices in warehousing and facilities management.
• Working knowledge of warehouse and multisite facility operations, including regulatory requirements and security controls.
• High-level interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate, provide advice, and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong people management and coaching skills.
• High-level prioritisation, organisation, and management skills.
• Understanding of facilities and warehouse WHS safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems.
• Ability to work in an agile and fast-paced environment.
