The Walwa Bush Nursing Centre (WBNC), provide convenient healthcare service to the Walwa Community and surrounding Upper Murray region.
Appointments are generally longer, with strong nursing support available for more complex patients. 

Required dates:

-14th Dec -24 Dec 2026
-4th Jan- 16th Jan 2027
-1st Mar - 11th Mar 2027
-12th Apr- 22nd Apr 2027
Fees: $1800 per day plus GST
Travel- one off return travel reimbursed base on ATO rates $0.91 per KM
Accommodation: A new dwelling, three-bedroom and fully fenced so friendly dogs are welcome.
Practice hours: Mon-Thurs, 8:30am-5:00pm, Lunch break (1 hour)
                         Optional Friday mornings session (9.00am-12.30pm)

Role: GP locums will work as the sole practitioner, supported by a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner (daily), along with a Registered Nurse and administrative staff.

There is no hospital in Walwa, emergency and urgent care is delivered by highly skilled registered nurses and a Nurse Practitioner, with support from the co-located GP clinic when required. Emergency services are available 24 hours a day, with an Ambulance Victoria Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) rostered 24/7 to provide first-response support. Patients requiring higher-level acute or hospital care are stabilized and transferred to the appropriate regional hospital.

Clinic uses Zedmed Clinical Software and appointments are booked at 30-minute intervals, allowing for a manageable and thorough workflow.
