Full Job Description
MTHCS supports communities across the Mallee region, including Murrayville, Ouyen, Sea Lake and surrounding towns. It provides a range of health and community services to meet local needs, such as urgent and acute care, aged care, community and home support, allied and primary health services, meals delivery, transport, social and lifestyle programs, early years services, rural outreach, and neighbourhood house activities.

Required dates: 7th-11th Dec 2026 ($1800 + GST per day for GP sessions only)
Travel: Flights/hire car/return travel in own car mileage will be reimbursed at (ATO rates- $0.91 per Km)
Meals: can be provided by hospital
Accom: self-contained 2-bedroom unit located within walking distance Medical Centre
Practice Hours: Mon -Fri -8:30am-5:00pm 

Role: GP Locum to provide care at the primary care medical centre attached to the hospital, serving a rural farming community with many older residents. Solo GP coverage during this period. The clinic is supported by practice nurses (Registered and Enrolled) and an admin team who assist locum doctors.

Appointments are usually 15 minutes, with longer appointments available if needed. The clinic provides services such as chronic disease management, VicRoads and Centrelink medicals, ECGs, spirometry, vaccinations, cryotherapy, and minor surgery. New patients complete a form to transfer their medical history from their previous GP or specialist.
