Compliance Officer- Corporate Banking - Mandarin speaking

  • Promotion and embedment of a compliance culture across the business activities of the branch
  • Influencing, and advising staff on the importance and relevance of regulatory, policy and process adherence to AML/CTF requirements and broader compliance
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with all staff within the branch to ensure compliance on a continuing basis.
  • Manage client on-boarding KYC’s and as well as the periodic review process.
  • Review of the clients FATCA, CRS and Volker status
  • Ensuring that the associated parties are appropriately screened
  • Risk rating of the client database
  • Provide guidance on AML/CTF issues to 1 LOD
  • Review and approve payments that have been flagged with a potential sanctions screening alert.
  • Monitoring of legislative developments to ensure legal compliance on an ongoing basis
  • Conduct an integrated program of compliance training and education for all staff to ensure their continuing awareness, understanding of and compliance with current laws, prudential standards, rules and guidelines
  • Ensuring that the operations of the branch comply with laws and other regulatory provisions.
  • Update policies and procedures on a timely manner to reflect Head Office Compliance requirements
  • KYC/AML System implementation and maintenance
  • Sending compliance reports to HO ahead of specified deadlines
  • Oversight of the periodic review process which includes the OCDD as well as the periodic reviews of the Correspondent banks
  • Working with Front Office to advise on AML/CTF compliance implications of new products and services
  • Reporting of SMR’s to AUSTRAC with senior management and compliance approval
  • Responsible for the management and, research, analysis into investigations and case creation
  • Responsible for the completion of the PEP analysis
  • Provide input into the Compliance Committee from an AML/CTF perspective
  • A tertiary qualification such as an undergraduate degree in business or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ AML/CTF experience in a Banking environment
  • Strong understanding of banking operations.
  • High-level understanding of AML/CTF compliance and risk frameworks
  • Understanding of Australian financial market and regulatory framework
  • Compliance experience including hands-on exposure to the interpretation of regulations and working with regulatory bodies
