The Cafeto Engineer Manager is leader who connects every point of contact of a project through well stablished and clear communication, in a daily basis, and has the Big Picture of projects and the company in a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis. It is also a facilitator who ensures that processes work properly, and constraints are properly managed.

Who is Jr. Engineer Manager?

The engineering manager in Cafeto is a leader who connects every point of contact of a project through well stablished and clear communication, in a daily basis, and has the Big Picture of projects and the company in a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis. It is also a facilitator who ensures that processes work properly, and constraints are properly managed."

Duties and Responsibilities

-Ensure the team delivers as expected in terms of quality, impact, and performance.
-Set direction for the team, anticipating challenges, risks, and planning strategically.
-Ensure the team is aligned to technical standards, decisions, and definitions of the organization.
-Monitor and control budget, schedule, and scope, ensuring project KPIs comply the company goals.
-Review specifications with the client, create and maintain the service roadmap, vision, and strategy.
-Create and update service specifications, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

Requirements

Basic Studies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Work Experience: "- 5+ years of professional experience in the software development industry
- 3+ years of IT service management experience as a manager or team leader.
- Proficient in project planning, monitoring, and execution by using agile and traditional approaches as needed
- Proficient in understanding, creating, sharing, and maintaining a product or service strategy, vision, and roadmap through all stakeholders, including the team 

Technical Skills:

- Experience with ITIL framework.
- Experience working with IaaS, SaaS, Cloud Operations
- Experience Managing Application support teams/Projects
- Knowledge of IT Governance.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing, CloudOps, SysOps, DevOps, WebOps.

Nice to Have: "Knowledge of Management 3.0, Agile People.
Intermediate certifications on ITIL: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, and Service Operation."

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
