What’s your purpose:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Student Recruitment who wants to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the education industry. You will lead the Consumer Sales Team as we embark on a transformation journey to drive “service-led-sales”, create outstanding student experiences, and consistently deliver on our vision and purpose. Your empowering leadership style and agile mindset will embed a culture of shared accountability and continuous improvement to help the team achieve its strategic and operational goals .

What you’ll do:
The Head of Student Recruitment is pivotal to Academy Xi’s next phase of growth and will primarily focus on enabling the Student Recruitment team to achieve its goals.
  • Coach, mentor and lead the team to ensure high engagement, retention, performance and collaboration
  • Proactively motivate and manage the performance of the team, to leverage individual team members’ strengths and apply early interventions as necessary
  • Work as a `scrum master’ or ‘agile coach’ constantly adapting the team’s Operating Rhythm to empower and enabling the team to identify, reflect on, and implement ongoing process and performance improvements 
  • Be a change-champion for ongoing transformation initiatives, ensuring that the team understands the potential benefits on any initiative, and ensuring that the team’s feedback and inputs are effectively incorporated
  • Be courageous, open and transparent, always ensuring that the team has an accurate understanding of its performance
  • Create a culture to celebrate the success of the team and the wider organisation
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the business (including Finance, Marketing, HR, etc.) to prepare accurate sales forecasts and team performance targets
  • Participate in cross functional planning and project implementation initiatives, representing the Consumer Sales Team with a `one-team’ mindset to ensure that the overall goals of the organisation are achieved
  • Role model an ongoing willingness to learn and unlearn

  • Experienced People Management, Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales leadership and sales coaching skills
  • Sales & Service background in an omni-channel environment (phone + messaging + digital)
  • Experienced, aware of, or interested in adapting new ways of working based on Agile/Lean, Service Design, Systems Thinking mindsets and methodologies
  • Excellent collaborator with cross functional stakeholders including Marketing, Program/Portfolio, Student Experience, IT, Finance, HR, etc.
  • Experienced using Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, Natterbox or similar Telephony Platforms, Live Chat platforms, Excel, etc.
  • Analysing and interpreting sales data, identify and leveraging insights to drive growth
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated sales/leadership experience 10+ years, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications
