Purpose:
The role of
Civil Engineer is diverse with
responsibilities encompassing; project management, planning, design and estimation, engineering calculations and advice, with the preparation of feasibility, due diligence, and engineering reports.
Key Roles & Responsibilities: - Preparation of proposals: Engineering reports, feasibility reports, tender recommendations reports, applications, submissions, and project reports;
- Compliance: Ensure all required site inductions are current, and site-specific requirements are met;
- Perform high-level Engineering: Design, Project Planning, Master Planning, Estimation, Investigations, and Compliance Checking;
- Assessment and documentation: Review clients’ requirements and preparation of contracts and specifications;
- Client Liaison: Assist in communications with the client regarding project requirements, approvals and performance
Selection Criteria: - Ability to use AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Programs, and any other applicable software packages;
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, Government Agencies and management;
- Strong Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities;
- Takes pride in deliverables and demonstrates strong accountability for areas of responsibility;
- Supervision/management in relation to Design Staff, and allocated Project Staff.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years’ of engineering experience
- Exposure to Regional QLD and Urban Development projects
- Supervisory/Management, coaching and mentoring skills
- Relevant memberships and industry affiliations (RPEQ) - Beneficial
