Operations & Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Operations & Sales Manager to lead and grow their commercial boutique rug and carpet business. This is a hands-on role that combines managing day-to-day operations with driving sales, including working on commercial client projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Customer Engagement: Promote and sell rugs and carpets in the showroom and through outside sales efforts. You'll be connecting with interior designers, decorators, architects, and furniture showrooms, as well as handling customer inquiries and making sales calls. Occasional sample deliveries within Brisbane, Queensland, and interstate will also be part of the role.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the rug storeroom, ensuring smooth processes for receipt, verification, dispatch, and installation of products. You’ll also manage stock levels, reorder products, and coordinate the loan and return of samples to maintain stock efficiency.
  • Product Knowledge & Support: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s rug and carpet stock, including designs, quality, and supplier offerings. Provide technical advice and custom solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring satisfaction with tailored products.
  • Estimates & Quotations: Prepare estimates and quotations for clients, considering project requirements and installation methods. This includes understanding the quantities and specifications for larger commercial projects.
  • Commercial Project Support: Work closely with commercial clients, architects, and contractors to manage large-scale installations. From budgeting and product selection to project timelines, you’ll ensure commercial projects are completed to the highest standards and on time.
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong operational and sales management skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial rug and carpet products & design process, with a passion for interior design and flooring.
  • Experience working with commercial projects and understanding the specific needs of large-scale installations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach to daily operations.
This position is a work from home opportunity working closely with the Sydney & Melbourne team. The ideal candidate will have a full functioning work from home set up.
