Site Manager

S&you has partnered with an Adelaide based commercial construction company, specialising in the property development, management and childcare / hospitality space that completes projects of Tier 1 - Tier 2 scale.

Position Summary: The Site Manager ensures project quality and compliance with Australian Standards, oversees contractor performance, manages construction programs, and maintains safety and environmental standards. This role involves close coordination with Project Managers to meet project goals and budgets, ensuring high-quality outcomes and a positive client experience.

Note: This role is only available for candidates with PR or Citizenship. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Understand and share detailed design and specifications with the project team
  • Lead weekly safety/toolbox meetings and develop contractor quality ITPs
  • Inspect works for compliance with designs, specs, and authority requirements
  • Monitor construction progress and report to project teams and clients
  • Develop and maintain SWMS, site safety plans, and environmental conditions
  • Audit site quality, safety, and environmental factors, reporting non-conformances
  • Resolve on-site design issues with project team coordination
  • Manage site logistics, materials, and resources
  • Implement short-term programs with subcontractors and manage Defects Liability Period
  • Ensure compliance with budget, quality, OH&S, and environmental standards
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial construction.
  • Proven ability to analyse & interpret building contracts and any other contracts connected with Property 
  • Development, Building and Design with projects utilising structural steel, framing, concreting, etc.
  • Current Building licence either unrestricted or minimum 3 stories with willingness to increase. 
  • Diploma of Building and Construction minimum qualification.
  • High level of Knowledge and/or exposure in Microsoft Office and all programs. High level of knowledge
  • and/or exposure to construction design and operation software such as AutoCAD, Procore, Hammertech Etc. 
  • Experience in, or knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Experience in, and a clear understanding of Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management systems.

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Current Police Check
  • First Aid certificate 
  • Fire Warden certificate
  • White Card
  • Working with children/aged clearance 
  • Senior Safety Officer certification
