The Opportunity:
A unique opportunity exists for a Construction Engineer to join a leading civil engineering and land development consultancy in Melbourne.
Working closely with project managers, contractors, developers and local authorities, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of subdivision and civil infrastructure projects.
This position offers the chance to be involved in all stages of project delivery, ensuring quality, programme, safety and commercial outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities across land development projects.
- Manage delivery of roads, drainage, earthworks, water, stormwater, sewer, utilities
- Monitor construction programmes and contractor performance.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, utility providers and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, council requirements and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical construction issues.
- Support project reporting, quality assurance and project documentation.
- Assist with contract administration and project delivery activities.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- 3-6 years' experience within land development in a similar role
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of Australian design Standards and local authority requirements.
You will need Full working rights and local Australian experience to be considered for this position.
