An established national commercial construction and fitout contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Brisbane operation.
 
The business delivers commercial fitout, refurbishment and selected new-build projects across a range of sectors. With a strong national presence and a growing Queensland pipeline, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported team with genuine long-term career potential.
 
The Role
 
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial projects from pre-construction through to completion.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
 
- Managing commercial fitout, refurbishment and selected new-build projects
- Taking ownership of project programs, budgets and delivery outcomes
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients
- Managing contracts, procurement, variations and commercial reporting
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow and forecasting
- Leading project meetings and stakeholder communication
- Reviewing construction documentation and resolving design issues
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Supporting the selection and management of subcontractors
- Working closely with Site Managers, Contract Administrators and senior leadership
- Managing handover, defects and project close-out
 
About You
 
To be considered, you will ideally have:
 
- Project Management experience within commercial construction or fitout
- Experience delivering projects from commencement through to completion
- Exposure to projects valued up to approximately $35 million
- A strong understanding of commercial contracts, procurement and cost control
- Experience managing clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Strong programming and construction-planning capability
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A relevant construction, engineering or project-management qualification
- A strong understanding of Queensland construction requirements
- A stable employment history and proven project-delivery record
