Contracts Administrator
Brisbane Insurance Repairs / Building Projects Full-time Permanent Position This is a great opportunity for a detail-driven Contracts Administrator to step into a busy insurance building environment where no two jobs look the same.
You'll be joining a specialist builder delivering reinstatement and repair projects for major insurers. The business has a steady flow of work, an established client base and a team that genuinely understands the pace and pressure of insurance construction.
Based from a modern office this role sits at the centre of project delivery. You'll help make sure jobs are properly checked, documented, approved and ready before they move into construction.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be the person keeping the contract and compliance side of projects under control.
That means checking files before they hit site, making sure approvals are in place, keeping variation and EOT records tight, and helping Project Managers, Supervisors and Estimators stay across the detail.
You'll also deal with certifiers, engineers, internal teams and client-side contacts when paperwork, approvals or project information needs to be clarified.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Review project files before works are handed to site teams
- Check that required approvals, certificates and documents are complete
- Keep contract records, registers and project files accurate
- Prepare and track variations, including credits, settlements and additional works
- Assist with EOT documentation and timeline-related records
- Follow up approvals, invoices and missing information
- Liaise with engineers, certifiers, Project Managers, Supervisors and Estimators
- Support compliance around QBCC, QLeave and project documentation
- Keep client paperwork, selections and job records updated
- Identify gaps in project files before they become delivery issues
- Help improve admin workflows and reduce repeat problems
What You'll Bring
- Experience in contracts administration, project administration or construction administration
- Background in building, insurance repairs, reinstatement, maintenance or construction preferred
- Strong attention to detail and confidence managing documentation
- Good understanding of construction paperwork, approvals and compliance
- Ability to juggle multiple jobs, deadlines and internal requests
- Clear communication style and confidence dealing with different stakeholders
- Good systems ability and comfort working with registers, job files and records
- QBCC or QLeave exposure would be useful
- Construction Management, Business or similar qualifications are welcome but not essential
