Estimator / Supervisor – Insurance Repairs

I’m currently partnering with a well-established insurance repair contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator / Supervisor to support their growing Adelaide operations.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a trade-qualified professional who enjoys managing end-to-end residential repair works while maintaining high customer service standards.

The role You’ll be responsible for delivering responsive insurance repairs across occupied and vacant residential properties. The role blends estimating, site supervision and subcontractor coordination, with a strong focus on “right first time” outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing scopes of works and accurate cost estimates
  • Supervising and delivering quality repair works across multiple trades
  • Recruiting, managing and coordinating subcontractors
  • Managing costs while balancing quality and customer satisfaction
  • Liaising closely with the Construction Manager and clients
  • Ensuring works comply with Australian building codes, OH&S and environmental standards
  • Using mobile systems for job allocation, reporting and data capture
  • Supporting and mentoring new team members where required
About you

You’ll come from a trade background with experience in insurance or responsive maintenance environments and be comfortable working across multiple sites.
Key requirements:
  • Trade qualification and White Card
  • Strong estimating capability with a practical, on-site mindset
  • Experience across carpentry, plastering and painting repairs
  • Exposure to insurance repairs or responsive maintenance (highly regarded)
  • Confident managing subcontractors and tight timeframes
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a broader team
  • Full Australian driver’s licence
