Production Manager


Our client is a multi-brand business looking for a hands-on Production Manager to make its product development and production more commercial and efficient.

The role has three priorities: lowering COGS, shortening lead times, and leading production requirements for a new PIM and PLM system.
You’ll also manage daily production and the Production & Compliance Coordinator, working closely with Design, Creative, Commercial, Operations and long-standing suppliers.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver incremental COGS savings across the portfolio through supplier negotiation on pricing, MOQs and components, as well as value engineering and component standardisation
  • Set cost targets with Design, Commercial and Finance, and track variances and realised savings
  • Shorten sampling, development and manufacturing lead times by removing bottlenecks, rework and duplicated effort with suppliers
  • Own production calendars, critical paths and milestone reporting, and flag delivery risks early
  • Act as functional lead on the PIM/PLM rollout, defining workflows and data requirements and supporting migration, testing and team adoption
  • Oversee daily production planning, supplier communication and issue resolution against agreed cost, quality and timing
  • Manage supplier performance on price, quality, lead time and delivery
  • Lead and develop the Production & Compliance Coordinator
What You’ll Bring
  • Production, sourcing or product development experience in apparel, fashion accessories or related consumer products
  • Strong knowledge of offshore manufacturing, technical development, costing and quality processes
  • A proven record of negotiating cost or lead-time savings with manufacturers
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, including supplier performance and cost reporting
  • Highly organised, proactive and hands-on, with a collaborative leadership style
  • A clear communicator who works well across creative, commercial and operational teams
  • Highly regarded: PIM/PLM implementation, eyewear manufacturing in Asia and multi-brand experience
