Chef (or Apprentice 2nd year plus)

Our client, Cessnock Hospitality Group, is looking for a talented Chef (or Apprentice) to join the team at their Vincent Street Kitchen + Bar as they embark on a new venture – Vincent Street Pop-Up in conjunction with Saddlers Creek Wines.  Working with an Award winning chef you will deliver a reduced menu which is edgy and up to date with the latest food trends, on-site at Saddlers Creek.  The Group prides itself on delivering fresh, seasonal, affordable food with exceptional customer service and sees this extending to its latest venture. 

You will be a competent operator who can work both autonomously and also in a team to ensure the new venture becomes a dining option of choice for both tourists and locals.  You will bring a strong work ethic and a passion for great food.

It is envisioned that you will work a set roster which includes mostly days (Fri/Sat/Sun) on-site at Saddlers Creek with additional shifts available across the group if you’d prefer full time work. Currently Vincent Street Kitchen + Bar restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and cooking food to order;
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen;
  • Ordering and maintaining stock.
Ideally you will have trade qualifications in Cookery with experience in a fast paced environment and the ability to provide customers with consistent high quality food.
