Location: Brisbane (1 day WFH per week)
Contract: 3 months + possible extensions
BLACKROC is proud to be partnering with a respected organisation seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract engagement focused on network assessment, remediation planning, and architectural uplift.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys stepping into complex environments, creating clarity, and designing future-state solutions. It is not BAU support you will be brought in to assess, document, and lead the network toward a more secure and scalable architecture.
Role Responsibilities - Assess and document the current Cisco Meraki network environment
- Produce network diagrams, inventories, and current-state documentation
- Review and uplift network security posture in line with modern best practices
- Develop stabilisation and long-term improvement strategies
- Produce HLDs, LLDs, standards, and operational runbooks
- Provide guidance on Azure networking integration and landing zone alignment
- Act as a senior technical advisor to internal teams
Skills & Experience - Senior-level experience in network engineering or consulting
- Strong Cisco Meraki expertise
- Azure networking knowledge (VNets, routing, IPSec, ExpressRoute, vWAN)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
